Economists from Charles River Associates Provide Antitrust Analysis In Live Nation and Ticketmaster Entertainment Merger

BOSTON, Feb 04, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Charles River Associates  (NASDAQ: CRAI), a worldwide leader in providing management, economic, and financial consulting services, today announced that the Company assisted Live Nation Inc. with securing antitrust clearance from the US Department of Justice (DOJ) for its merger with Ticketmaster Entertainment. The merger creates the world's largest live entertainment and event ticketing company.

Vice President Andrew Dick led a team of CRA economists who helped Live Nation achieve DOJ clearance subject to consent provisions that still allow the merged firm to focus on its goal of enhancing the live entertainment experience for consumers and artists. CRA economists combined rigorous theoretical analysis with innovative empirical studies to analyze competition in concert promotions, artist tour routing, venue selection, and other competitive issues in the live entertainment industry.
