B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Tufts University Experience Joseph Paster served as senior vice president of John Hancock Financial Services at the time of his retirement in 2005. He was chief financial officer and chief administrative officer of John Hancock Signature Services. In these roles, he was responsible for financial operations, human resources, state compliance, and risk management and administration. As CFO of the Service Company, Mr. Paster oversaw the finances, controls, and audits of all product services, including the transfer agent for mutual fund business, and was responsible for the development and implementation of the Sarbanes/Oxley certification process.
